Facial Mole Removal

Skin moles can be a real problem for some people, impairing one’s look and causing great dissatisfaction and even poor self esteem. Moles can appear anywhere on the body, but they are really bothersome in visible areas like the face. This is probably the reason why facial mole removal is a widely-practiced intervention in countries worldwide, being performed on request and after some medical investigations to assess the patient’s health condition and the nature of the moles to be removed. The costs of facial mole removal requested for cosmetic purposes is not covered by insurance; the only situations when coverage becomes possible is when there is a health problem involved.

Facial mole removal is possible by means of three procedures: laser therapy, excision with stitching or excision with cauterization. Laser therapy is not considered surgery because it does not involve any tissue cutting. Preparatory stages will be required no matter the type of treatment selected for facial mole removal. First of all, the doctor has to mark the exact area that needs to be removed, because in very many cases, the skin borders around the moles have to be cut as well. Then, the area has to be cleaned with a disinfectant substance and then anesthetized.

The facial mole removal starts after the tissues get numb and the blood circulation is limited in the area. The use of stitches is only required for moles that have grown deep in the skin layers. If the mole is superficial, cauterization of the wound is used in order to stop the bleeding and speed up the healing process. The recovery takes time, but if you handle the wound well, you can improve the healing process and grow new healthy tissues faster. Antibiotics are normally applied topically to eliminate the risk for infections.

As for the facial mole removal with a laser beam, we must stress out the fact that only a professional can decide whether light therapy is the right one for you. Take for instance laser treatment: it is considered to be pretty expensive and it only works for flat superficial moles. Larger nevi are hard to remove by the laser beam because the light cannot get deep inside the tissues, and lots of mole cells can remain untouched. The price for a facial mole removal by a laser intervention ranges from $100 and above, but we ought to stress out the fact that most of the time several laser sessions are necessary for good results.

Facial Mole Removal

Skin moles can be a real problem for some people, impairing one’s look and causing great dissatisfaction and even poor self esteem. Moles can appear anywhere on the body, but they are really bothersome in visible areas like the face. Facial mole removal thus represents a common intervention practiced in lots of countries worldwide, with the mention that several aspects have to be covered before considering surgical treatment. The costs of facial mole removal requested for cosmetic purposes is not covered by insurance; the only situations when coverage becomes possible is when there is a health problem involved.

Facial mole removal is possible by means of three procedures: laser therapy, excision with stitching or excision with cauterization. The excision only is considered to fall in the surgical category, while laser interventions are considered practices different from surgery. Preparatory stages will be required regardless of the type of treatment selected for facial mole removal. Firstly, there will be a delimitation of the skin portion that will need to be cut, surround the mole as such. Then, a disinfectant and an anesthetic have to be applied before the start of the procedure.

The facial mole removal starts when the skin and the nerves get numb and the blood circulation is reduced. If the moles are grown deep into the skin, then, stitches may be necessary. For superficial moles, cauterization of the wound is used in order to stop the bleeding and speed up the healing process. The recovery is usually slow, but if proper care is taken of the wound, the regeneration may be complete. The risk of infections is reduced by the application of topical antibiotics.

The choice of the treatment falls into the responsibility of a professional and should not be assumed individually. The problem with laser treatments is that they are more efficient in the case of flat superficial moles, but rather ineffective when it comes to raised skin tags. Larger nevi are hard to remove by the laser beam because the light cannot get deep inside the tissues, and lots of mole cells can remain untouched. The price for a facial mole removal by a laser intervention ranges from $100 and above, with the mention that the reappearance of the mole is possible within a certain time interval.

Treatment For Eye Wrinkles. Treatments For Wrinkles Under Eyes

It’s all very well for us to comment on the way Granny’s eye wrinkles lined as she smiled the sweet smile of hers, but did you ask her how she reacted when the first wrinkles showed up? It is a fact, that skin will crease to a certain degree the older we grow, but due to the huge strain of daily lining, early eye wrinkles are very much part of our lives, and we have to find ways to counter those enemies that ravage the delicate tissues surrounding the eyes 1st.

The root cause

What causes eye wrinkles to develop before any other kind of wrinkles? First and foremost, the tissue on our eyelids is, as stated before the most susceptible to damage from external factors like the sun. Skin is also prone to aging, particularly due to the muscle that lies beneath, called orbicularis oculi, pulls the eyelid into parts each time it contracts. As we age and collagen decreases, those folds become furrowed. Also, sun damage, which is most visible on our faces, also adds to the formation of eye wrinkles.

Tried Botox on your wrinkles yet?

It’s tempting to start this section with Botox, the miracle drug from Allergan that has flattened out so many wrinkles. The basic effect of Botox is to block intra-muscular transmission and causes a paralysis and sagging of the muscles. As it is injected, you can choose the area that you want paralyzed, and effectively smooth out wrinkles.

There are other ways too…

Increasingly, many people are turning to laser therapy to eliminate eye wrinkles. This involves a process known as fractional laser resurfacing, a technique which dissolves the molecular bonds of a substance with a laser. Besides wrinkles, fractional laser surfacing can also be employed to eliminate other effects of sun damage, scars, stretch marks, actinic keratosis and or ‘spider veins’. Of late, new techniques like Erbium laser resurfacing allow recovery in just a week, whereas earlier CO2 laser resurfacing usually took close to a month to cure.

Surgery, the last resort

This section is last as it only a choice when everything else has not worked, which is not likely, I think we can agree. Also, the cosmetic surgery procedure called Blepharoplasty does not eradicate eye wrinkles. What it does do is to remove the ugly pouches and dark circles underneath the eyes. And this is not the same thing. Assuming that you want to get rid of eye wrinkles, you should look at options such as Botox and laser therapy.

Check it if you can

As with all of our physical problems, it is preferable to prevent eye wrinkles than cure them. So you are better off investing in quality sun screen, and a wide sun hat. You can get many anti aging products at drug stores, but they may promise more than they deliver. Needless to add, before you take any kind of medical/surgical step, be sure to consult a professional.

Skin needling – treats skin conditions

how to get rid of stretch marks

Collagen Induction Therapy is often a procedure that involves a trip to the doctors (or a specialist). However, skin needling is a form of collagen induction therapy which can be carried out in your own house, in your own time; this makes wrinkles less visible, improves acne scarring and reduces the appearence of stretchmarks.

One thing that scars, wrinkles, stretch marks and uneven skin have in common is a lack of collagen. Microneedling stimulates collagen production in the skin, which helps prevent or reverse their formation, this can only be achieved if skin needling is carried out frequently to keep the skin healing until it has healed to an acceptable level.

Micro-needling (skin needling) is a process carried out with a roller that is covered with several tiny needles. These needles puncture the uppermost layer of skin and carefully part the pores of the skin. This method has two major advantages; it competently encourages collagen generation at the same time as providing a clear channel for creams and lotions to be absorbed more effectively through the top layer (epidermis) of skin. Skin needling (microneedling) creates a very minor trauma which only lasts for about one hour and doesn’t cause the skin to break or bleed in the treated area in the way that laser therapy or microdermabrasion do.

The microscopic punctures (which are often just the opening of the pores of your skin) caused by the micro-needling of the skin, stimulate collagen production in the second layer of skin and it creates a good environment for collagen and elastin formation. These key factors help the skin to cosmetically repair.

There are several alternatives to Micro Needling, and a lot of these require visits to a specialist. These include laser therapy and Micro-Dermabrasion. Using a Micro needling roller at home is generally much cheaper.
