We’ve been told for years that for some reason wine seemed to be good for your health. We know better now, but early on some people assumed that it was the alcohol in the wind that was responsible for the healthy benefits. They were definitely wrong.

So what the latest studies have shown is that the major health benefits are actually coming from the resveratrol.

But first, I want to discuss what resveratrol is, and its often misunderstood relationship to one.

So finally we know what it is in the wine that is responsible for things like the French Paradox and other mysteries relating to how people who eat a less than ideal diet still manage to remain largely free of the kinds of diseases and health problems that afflict so many Americans.

Oddly enough, it wasn’t known until very recently that resveratrol was this powerful. Not only that, but it’s almost 50 times more powerful than vitamin C, and can even slow down the aging process and help protect you against cancer.

Really good stuff. Now, the only real drawback to resveratrol is that you have to drink lots of wine as we mentioned above. And of course this is because of all the wine you’d be forced to drink to get enough resveratrol to realize the benefits. While this may seem harmless and fun, I don’t think you realize the amount of alcohol you’d actually have to drink, and the other health problems it would cause.

The bottom line is that the alcohol in the wine has the potential to largely undo the benefits of the resveratrol. So that your body winds up having to work even harder to get rid of the toxicity from all the alcohol you have to drink. And when that happens, it’s pretty obvious that you’re probably doing more harm than good, even if you are getting a decent amount of resveratrol in the bargain.

I realize that I said earlier that we go over some of the methods for getting safe amounts of resveratrol, so let’s cover those methods now. Keep in mind, it’s importance to get your hands on sources of resveratrol that don’t require alcohol. So you see, someone would have to drink way too much wine in order to get the full benefits of the resveratrol, and this would do more harm to you in the process. So, here’s what I recommend…
